Restoration of Diamond Eternity Band

Restoration of Diamond Eternity Band

Created 10 years ago by #DOTK, this gorgeous, extra wide eternity band had been lovingly worn on a daily basis, with much wear and tear to the entire ring. The “inner channel,” which held the Asscher cut diamonds, was cracked in several areas, causing the diamonds to become loose.

Heavy gouges in the platinum prongs and outer rails detracted from the beauty of the diamonds, with the metal having turned slightly gray. To properly restore the ring, the inner channel walls were delicately sawed apart, and the Asscher cut diamonds were unset. A brand new platinum channel band was cast, the diamonds reset, and laser soldered back into place, sandwiched between the outer round diamond bands, which received tightening and polishing to a mirror finish. A bright white rhodium finish was the final step to completely restore this impressive ring.

The client now promises to wear her ring for “special occasions” to keep the integrity and shine for future years of enjoyment!
