A seldom worn gemstone and pearl necklace was transformed into a multi piece “suite” of jewelry, to commemorate the high school graduation of this client’s daughter. With so many various colored gemstones to work with, and since the daughter had multiple ear piercing (6 in total!) several pairs of earrings were created by adding posts and push backs to the existing gold settings. A custom designed, chunky ring to coordinate with the earrings was produced and the original chain necklace was connected back together by adding in remaining pearls to the center. A versatile, youthful and colorful suite of jewelry was a hit for graduation, as well as a meaningful representation of an heirloom piece successfully transformed and passed down to the next generation.
