Having nine petite diamond links left over from shortening a bracelet, this client brainstormed with Christina about how to transform the pieces into a wearable jewelry design. A pendant was suggested to the client as the most advantageous design, with the nine elements carefully cut apart and laser soldered into a fixed “Cross” shape, with all flexible hinges eliminated. A new 14 karat white gold bail was supplied for the new pendant, to be suspended on a chain necklace. The entire piece received steam cleaning, polishing, and a final bright white rhodium finish.
The client was so happy these small scrap pieces received new life, and at a minimal cost of under $300! She now enjoys wearing it daily, layered with her other necklaces!
