25th Anniversary Upgrade

With an upcoming 25th Wedding Anniversary fast approaching, a husband turned to Diamonds On The Key with the original engagement ring with which he proposed, looking for a substantial upgrade in carat weight, to commemorate this couple’s milestone. Maintaining the integrity of the ornate, original setting was important and taken into consideration when crafting the new ring.

First, the original 2.50 carat natural diamond was evaluated for its quality and size at current market value, in order to set a trade-in credit price. Then, a new 4.00 carat GIA certified natural diamond, of equal-higher quality was sourced and confirmed for the upgrade. Since the diameter of the new diamond was substantially wider than the original, a brand new 14 karat white gold, 4-prong classic design was faithfully replicated, with small accent diamonds set in the same pattern as the original gallery detail. The shank of the original engagement ring and wedding band were enlarged for a better current size fit, with fresh bright rhodium plating to complete the restoration process.

The final result is a stunning, elevated new anniversary ring that honors the original design, while combining timeless elegance with personal significance, for a truly memorable piece of fine jewelry.
