Timeless Engagement Ring Redesign

For this month’s makeover, and in celebration of her 30th wedding anniversary, our client decided to give her beautiful 4 carat, emerald cut diamond engagement ring a refreshed setting, while maintaining its timeless elegance.

She loved our suggestion of adding diamonds, and creating a classic “3-stone ring” style, to represent the past, present, and future! First, we began by unsetting her center diamond and matching step-cut trapezoid diamonds in dimension, color and clarity to either side.

Then, a custom made design was created for all 3 diamonds, and a substantial new platinum mounting was cast, even heavier than her original mounting! The new setting was carefully designed so that her existing diamond eternity band would now sit flush against the new ring, which it had not previously done, thus creating a seamless and sophisticated pairing.

The result is a stunning transformation that highlights the beauty of her original diamond while giving her engagement ring a refined and more voluminous new look.
