Jewelry often carries sentimental value, and sometimes all it takes is thoughtful restoration to breathe new life into a treasured piece. After unsetting the center diamond from our client’s white gold mounting and transforming it into a bezel set pendant (see previous makeover story) she inquired what to do with the left over ring?
Since her daughter’s birthday is in January, we suggested adding a vibrant garnet birthstone as its new centerpiece! She loved the idea and the ring was easily refurbished, after having seen years of wear & tear. One small missing diamond was supplied along with the new garnet, the ring was sized down to a finger size 5 to fit the daughter, and it received professionally polishing and new bright rhodium finish.
The completed ring beautifully blends classic craftsmanship with renewed elegance.
