A new client turned to Diamonds On The Key because her beloved Princess Cut Diamond eternity band was in desperate need of some TLC!
The ring, which had been worn daily for 20+ years, had lost all of its luster, sparkle and the platinum mounting had turned dark gray.
First step was inspecting the diamonds and giving the entire ring a thorough cleaning in an ultrasonic bath, followed by steam cleaning.
Although we reported that 4 of the diamonds were chipped, and recommended they be replaced, the client decided to reschedule this step in the near future.
Then, the scratches from the heavily worn mounting were polished out, and new bright white rhodium plating was applied, to completely restore the white color and luster to the dulled platinum.
The client was so happy to receive her ring back and very impressed by its revived sparkle!
