One of our most favorite “makeovers” and BEST transformations for a beloved client! It was a real honor
to collaborate on resetting this engagement ring, which had already been through a very poor quality reset by another jeweler. Side diamonds had been improperly matched, large gaps existed between the 3 main diamonds, tiny accent diamonds supplied had no sparkle, plus the rhodium finish had quickly worn off the ring, which turned gray in color. The client yearned for something edgy, dramatic, and “one-of-a-kind”!

Inspired by a diamond and emerald pendant seen on a friend, the client turned to #TeamDOTK to begin the makeover process of her ring. The initial pendant idea was fed into a CADD computerized design, with several renderings and tweaks taking shape, before confirming the final design and sizable measurements.

The design was cast in heavy, solid platinum with the 2+ carat radiant cut diamond remounted as the central focal point, into the new “pyramid style” cocktail ring. An additional 2 carats of full cut, brilliant white diamonds were also set into the pattern.

To say the client was thrilled with her new ring is an understatement! Upon opening the ring box, she excitedly blurted out “HOLY SH$T- That’s so F💎 ‘iNG gorgeous!!!! We have seen her enjoying her stunning new ring during “Miami Fashion Week” and beyond, looking fabulous as always!

As a bonus, the 2 small emerald cut diamonds from the original ring were reset into 14 karat white gold, 4-prong stud earrings with push backs, and she quickly put them into her second ear piercings!
