After receiving an heirloom sapphire & baguette diamond ring, this new client contacted Diamonds On The Key, inquiring about how the gemstone could be reset into a different piece of jewelry?
Remembering a necklace she had viewed on someone long ago, the client always wanted a similar elegant pendant, to wear every day. Recreating a variation of that
necklace, the blue sapphire was gently unset from the old platinum mounting and reset into a new mounting, with a diamond halo border encircling it, to offset the color and add sparkle.
Additional diamonds were bezel set and sprinkled up either side of the solid cable link chain, from which the pendant was suspended. Wanting the pendant to sit in the “hollow” of her throat, the chain was reduced to 14 inches in length. Scrap platinum value was applied towards the labor of this custom job, reducing the overall expense.
A memory finally come true, the client now wears her lovely new necklace each day!
